Toyota is commemorating the 45th anniversary of the Supra nameplate with an exclusive special edition inspired by the iconic Mark IV model, known as the A91. Introducing the Toyota GR Supra 45th Anniversary Edition, a limited-run vehicle that captures the essence of the Supra's heritage.
This special edition boasts several distinctive features, including matte black wheels, black brake callipers, and a stylish black side graphic adorned with "Supra" lettering. However, the highlight of the 45th Anniversary Edition is undoubtedly the "oversized, manually adjustable rear spoiler" proudly showcased by Toyota. To enhance its appeal, this edition is available exclusively in two captivating colours: Mikan Blast (Orange) and Absolute Zero (White). Toyota plans to produce a total of 900 units, with an equal split between the two colours.
When it comes to performance, the 45th Anniversary Edition is equipped with the potent 3.0-litre straight-six engine, generating an impressive 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque. Buyers have the option to choose between the renowned eight-speed automatic transmission, which debuted with the new Supra, or the newly available six-speed manual transmission. In testing conducted by Car and Driver, the automatic variant achieved a remarkable 0-60 mph acceleration time of 3.7 seconds, while the manual variant accomplished the same feat in 3.9 seconds.
Toyota has not yet disclosed the full pricing details, but the 45th Anniversary Edition is based on the 3.0 Premium trim level, incorporating all the standard equipment of that configuration. As a result, it is anticipated that the launch price will exceed the starting price of the 3.0 Premium, which is €60,000
