Hey Presto! Fiat has suddenly launched the brand new 600e.

Car manufacturers are experts at gradually revealing information about a new model. BMW, for instance, excelled at it with the M3 Touring. So much had been leaked about it that we already knew everything before the grand presentation.

Usually, these presentations are extravagant events with worldwide press coverage, showgirls, elephants, clowns, and all the elements you would expect in a circus. They are designed to generate attention for the new model. However, Fiat has chosen a completely different approach for the 600e, as demonstrated today.

Fiat has unveiled the brand new 600e through a video, without any extravagant fanfare. Consequently, we don't know the technical details under the hood, but we can speculate.

The Fiat 600e is likely based on the Jeep Avenger and will probably have the same powertrain. This means it will be equipped with a single electric motor delivering 154 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. The battery capacity is estimated to be around 54 kilowatt-hours, although the range remains unclear.

In some countries, Fiat also offers the non-electric version of the 600, equipped with a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine producing 100 horsepower and featuring a manual transmission. This is also an appealing option. However, we don't have the complete information regarding pricing and availability as Fiat has remained silent on these details.

Nevertheless, actions speak louder than words, so I invite you to watch the official video to get a glimpse of the new Fiat 600e.

One aspect that is subject to debate is the design of the new Fiat 600e. Some may argue that it deviates from the beautiful Italian design heritage. In fact, if there were a competition for the ugliest car, the 600e might win hands down without any competition. Its unconventional aesthetic choices have certainly stirred up discussions among automotive enthusiasts. Beauty is subjective, and the 600e has its own unique character that may appeal to a specific audience.
