MV Agusta Unveils the Dragster RR SCS America: A Limited Edition Naked Sport Bike for the US Market
MV Agusta, the renowned Italian motorcycle manufacturer, has introduced the Dragster RR SCS America, a limited edition version of its naked sport bike exclusively designed for the North American market. This release continues the legacy of MV Agusta's commitment to the American market, which dates back to the 1970s when the iconic 750S was launched to celebrate the brand's significance in the United States. After a hiatus, the tradition was revived in 2004 with the first Brutale America, and since then, several models bearing the "America" designation have emerged, all based on MV Agusta's exceptional naked sport bikes.
The Dragster RR SCS America inherits the legacy and lineage of its predecessors, but with a smaller engine displacement. Powered by a three-cylinder engine, which made its debut in the Brutale 800 RR America back in 2017, this new version of the Dragster is a true powerhouse. What sets it apart from the rest are the exclusive and unmistakable details. The striking livery proudly displays the colors of the stars and stripes, featuring metallic blue, white, and red. The red leather seat is adorned with the "America Special Edition" embroidery, adding a touch of elegance and individuality.
At the rear, the Dragster RR SCS America showcases a dedicated carbon fiber lenticular wheel, also incorporating the Stars and Stripes motif. Each of the 300 limited edition bikes is uniquely numbered from 001 to 300, with the laser-engraved serial number displayed on a plaque at the head of the steering column. As if these details weren't enough to make it stand out, MV Agusta offers a range of special accessories to make the bike even more exclusive and personalized.
Included with the motorcycle are a transparent clutch cover, a dedicated bike cover, and a certificate of authenticity. Additionally, the optional catalog features a titanium Akrapovič exhaust system coupled with a specific engine control unit, which collectively unleash an additional 8 horsepower on top of the standard model's impressive 140 horsepower.
The Dragster RR SCS America retains all the essential characteristics and technical elements of the standard model. The well-known 798cc three-cylinder engine delivers the aforementioned 140 horsepower in the stock version. The Dragster, from which the bike takes its name, boasts the innovative SCS automatic clutch developed in collaboration with Rekluse. The frame consists of a steel trellis paired with a single-sided aluminum swingarm, while the suspension system incorporates fully adjustable inverted Marzocchi forks and a Sachs mono-shock. Brembo brakes with twin 320mm front discs and radial calipers ensure exceptional stopping power, while the bike's dry weight stands at a mere 175 kg.
Unfortunately, for MV Agusta enthusiasts in Europe, the new MV Agusta Dragster RR SCS America will not be available in these regions. Instead, it will be exclusively offered to the passionate riders of North America, making it an even more coveted and sought-after gem for motorcycle enthusiasts on American soil.
